Alameda Community Learning Center, A Public Charter School
(Grades 6 – 12)
The Alameda Community Learning Center, now in its 15th year, housed at Encinal High School, provides a unique public education for approximately 300 students in grades 6 - 12, in a multi-age, multi-grade, self-directed learning environment.
The Center offers a core academic program utilizing integrated instruction, project-based learning and collaborative teamwork. It is supported by state-of-the art technology that is networked to allow students to access information from around the world.
We have openings in grades 6-10. All interested students entering these grades in the Fall of 2010 should apply as soon as possible for a random lottery for admission. (Alameda residents are given preference.)
